Welcome and meet your local guide at the Meeting Point.

Our meeting point is at MRT Hualampong Station Exit No. 4 (outside), next to the main entrance of Bangkok Centre Hotel.

After a short briefing, it takes a 10 minute walk to our first temple, the “Golden Buddha Temple.”

09.00amVisit Wat Trimitr > Golden Buddha Temple

Wat Trimitr-Golden Buddha Temple is located in China Town. The temple houses the highly revered 5.5 tonne pure solid gold sitting Buddha from 1300AD.

09.45amA Walk through a 100-Year-Old Talad Noi and China Town

After finishing the Golden Buddha Temple, walk through

Talat Noi, a local community hidden in the vibrant and sleepless city of Bangkok, has been selected for the technical visit program of the APEC Tourism Working Group’s delegates.

Talat Noi (the little market) is an old Chinese community on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River. It once served as a major port and disembarkation point of both goods and Chinese immigrants when river transportation was the capital’s lifeline.

Today, the area is reinventing itself as a “cool neighborhood” where you can find colorful street art and chic cafes and stalls selling delicious Thai-Chinese local food, from old-school noodles to Chinese snacks.

Including a little walk through China Town to get a glimpse of the main business area along Yao Wa Ratch Road.

Yao-Wa-Ratch Road is also a well-known food walking street at night, starting from 19.00pm until mid-night.

Next, take the local routine public bus to visit Wat Pho.

10.30amVisit Wat Pho > Reclining Buddha Temple

Wat Pho is a breathtaking complex that houses the famous and impressive Reclining Buddha and the birthplace of Traditional Thai Massage.

11.30amTuk Tuk Ride to Flower Market

Now, it’s time to hop on an exciting Tuk Tuk ride to visit the Flower Market.

The Bangkok Flower Market is the biggest fresh flower market in Bangkok. The market is named “Pak-Khlong Ta-Lad,” which means “the market at the mount of the canal.” It is open around the clock every day. Every night, late at night and early in the morning, there are varieties of fresh flowers delivered from all parts of Thailand here. The flower market looks like only flowers, but in fact it is full of things from the local area, such as vegetables, cooking ingredients, and seasonal Thai fruits. Then, every second here always looks busy.

12.00pmRiver Boat Ride

After that, hop on a double-decker river boat and take a glimpse of the beautiful view and a fresh breeze along the Chao Phraya River to Phra Ar-Thit Pier.

Next, visit Golden Mount Temple.

12.45pmVisit  Golden Mount Temple.

From Pra Arthit pier, take a Tuk Tuk ride to our last temple, the Golden Mount Temple.

Stop and go all the way up the stairs to reach Golden Mount, a man-made hill with a golden chedi on the hilltop.

Enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Bangkok.

Then, a short walk to take a local taxi boat to our ending point.

13.30pmTake a local taxi boat to Hua-Chang Pier at Siam/MBK Shopping Centre > Finishing Point

Take a 20-minute local taxi boat ride through a small San-Saeb canal.

5 stars! The best tour I’ve taken. You get to see so much in a short time. He is so friendly and helpful. Great English. Very knowledgeable. Makes transportation so easy. Helps you find the good spots of the city. I was here only 2 days so this was perfect for me. I would highly recommend him! Great experience. Wonderful day! Thank you!

I don’t think we could have had a more personalized and unique view of Bangkok and all the wonderful areas throughout the city that make it special. From the beautiful Golden Buddha and reclining Buddha to our time weaving in and out of the exciting area of old China Town every bit of the tour felt special.

My partner and I were in Bangkok only for a few days and were looking for an experience that will take us to all the great must-see sights of the city for a great value – the tour was that and much more! We saw the beautiful temples, got around the city on various transport methods but also saw the rural local parts and street food that we would have never been able to see by ourselves. The guide briefed us on the history of each place we went to and was always happy to answer questions. The tour is packed with a lot of walking so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and have water on hand. The guide was really great and accommodating if we wanted to stop for photos, coffee or souvenirs 🙂 Highly recommend!
