Talat Noi, a local community hidden in the vibrant and sleepless city of Bangkok, has been selected for the technical visit program of the APEC Tourism Working Group’s delegates.
Talat Noi (the little market) is an old Chinese community on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River. It once served as a major port and disembarkation point of both goods and Chinese immigrants when river transportation was the capital’s lifeline.

The market is named “Pak-Khlong Ta-Lad,” which means “the market at the mount of the canal.” It is open around the clock every day. Every night, late at night and early in the morning, there are varieties of fresh flowers delivered from all parts of Thailand here. The flower market looks like only flowers, but in fact it is full of things from the local area, such as vegetables, cooking ingredients, and seasonal Thai fruits. Then, every second here always looks busy.

5 stars! The best tour I’ve taken. You get to see so much in a short time. He is so friendly and helpful. Great English. Very knowledgeable. Makes transportation so easy. Helps you find the good spots of the city. I was here only 2 days so this was perfect for me. I would highly recommend him! Great experience. Wonderful day! Thank you!
I don’t think we could have had a more personalized and unique view of Bangkok and all the wonderful areas throughout the city that make it special. From the beautiful Golden Buddha and reclining Buddha to our time weaving in and out of the exciting area of old China Town every bit of the tour felt special.
My partner and I were in Bangkok only for a few days and were looking for an experience that will take us to all the great must-see sights of the city for a great value – the tour was that and much more! We saw the beautiful temples, got around the city on various transport methods but also saw the rural local parts and street food that we would have never been able to see by ourselves. The guide briefed us on the history of each place we went to and was always happy to answer questions. The tour is packed with a lot of walking so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and have water on hand. The guide was really great and accommodating if we wanted to stop for photos, coffee or souvenirs 🙂 Highly recommend!
